How to Knit Shark Body Pillow:
- Cut pattern pieces! Eyes (2 gray, little + 2 color felt, big) Head (1 fleece + 1 Minky) Tail (2 Minky, as a mirrored set) Body (1 Minky + 1 Fragrant; rectangles 15″ X 15″) Velcro (3 pairs; 2 inches each) Straps (6 Fragrant rectangles; 4.5″ X 3″).
- Twist or clip along with your head & tail pieces, right sides together (RST), and then sew using a 3/8″ seam allowance around the exterior, leaving open. walking foot is useful to keep the layers together as you can sew. Snip curves and then flip right-side out. Materials the tail securely along with the head gently with poly-fill and baste the openings closed.
- Fold every rectangle in half length-wise and sew two sides together with 1/4″ seam allowance, which makes one brief end available. Trim seam allowance and trim corner, then turn out the side. Sew Velcro on into the closed ending.
- Lay the minky pillow bit right side and then put the mind minky side on top and based, pull on an inch of their head out the pillow border, and snare. Center the tail onto the other hand, pull a inch out the pillow border and snare. Baste set up across the pillow’s borders, employing the additional inch of cloth to keep it right and direct it below the feed puppies without skewing. (Please ignore the minky pillow foundation has not been completely trimmed nonetheless, it had been an oversight once I was taking photos!)
- Lay the sleeper pillow bit up the side and place the three hook-Velcro straps up, placing on the interior of the pillow. Put the outer two connectors 2″ from every border and also the third ring 8″ from the borders. Position the loop-Velcro straps facing, putting on the interior of the pillow with exactly the exact identical space. Baste along the borders of every strap. Optional: use tape to maintain the finish lying right.
- Lay the pillow underside and pillow shirt RST ensuring to maintain each of straps, head, and tail wrapped inside. Twist or clip around the edges, making a 3-4 inch gap open to twist the pillow. Sew using a 3/8″ seam allowance. Reduce the surplus in the head and tail foundations, clip corners.
- Gently turn right side out, things, and ladder stitch the opening shut. Hand or machine sew the gray smaller eye to the ivory bigger eye then hand-stitch that the eyeball on into the mind, centering through the fleece/minky seam.
